Fireside String Band

"Let the light shine, let the stories be told, let the truth follow everywhere we go. Though we journey further on, it's always darkest before dawn, let the light always shine the way home."

This is the anthem of the Fireside String Band, a group of friends who share a love for all music, and a curiosity of the world of bluegrass. Though none of these musicians were raised playing bluegrass, the excitement and positivity of the genre pulled them in.

The Fireside String Band includes three members of rock and roll band Beside the Fire, (note the name connection.) Jesse Iaquinto plays Mandolin and sings most of the songs while Mark Romano plays the Banjo and occasionally lends a hand on singing duties. Carson White lays the Bass guitar down while handling the harmony parts. Now's the confusing part. Depending on which show you happen to attend, you may see Charlie McCanless or Tommy Maher playing guitar, they're both great so don't worry too much about that. Last but not least, she used to be a frequent guest, but is now a full time member, Ms. Johanna Hagarty on the vox, and possibly some random percussion instrument.

You should expect to hear some bluegrass tunes and some folk songs, but that's not all folks. These musicians thrive on the unexpected so sit back and relax, or get up and dance, or just do whatever feels natural... ain't nobody gonna judge ya' here.
