Roots of Creation
ROOTS OF CREATION (RoC), New Hampshire based Reggae/Rock/Dubtronica quartet are on many people's radar as they continue to draw overwhelming numbers of fans to their performances in New England and around the country. This band is in the midst of recording their third studio effort (and compiling their second live release), and there is considerable attention surrounding the release(s).
The band is hard at work in their home studio doing overdubs/pre-production and writing new songs after some successful recording sessions at world renowned recording studio - Studio.Metronome with Producer/Engineer Pete Caigan. The album is scheduled to feature special guest International Roots Reggae Stars: Pato Banton, Ras Indio, Mighty Mystic, and more to be announced. The studio album is expected to be released in the fall of 2010. RoC are also selecting the best live tracks from the last year of touring, where they completed 3 national tours in the last 12 months. A live album is scheduled for a spring 2010 release. The band recently debuted some of their new songs from their upcoming studio album live on the Boston radio station WERS 88.9's reggae show "Rockers" this January.

Roots of Creation have performed at many national events, amphitheatres, theaters and have become a main stage and late night staple at festivals including: Camp Bisco 8, Rothbury (campground/VIP area), Vermont Roots Reggae Festival, We the People, Trinumeral, Wuhnurth, Strangecreek/Wormtown and many more. The band has been garnering increased attention on all fronts. The band was recently filmed in HD at the historic 888 capacity Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH on Halloween by Metronome Media Group.
Roots of Creation has shared programming & supported such notable acts such as: The Wailers, Yellowman, Pato Banton, Culture, Toots and the Maytals, Midnite, Israel Vibration, Matisyahu, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Les Claypool (Primus), Tom Morello (RATM), Bassnectar, Suicidal Tendencies, Fishbone, Dilated Peoples, Barrington Levy, Eek-a-Mouse, RZA, Lotus, Lupe Fiasco, STS9, The Disco Biscuits, John Browns Body, Pnuma Trio, Pretty Lights, NaS & Damian Marley, Keller Williams, Rusted Root, David Grisman, Glitch Mob, KRS-1, Soulive, JGB, SOJA, Assembly of Dust, Reel Big Fish, Grace Potter and many more.
The band's second studio effort, "RISE UP" (2006), was co-produced, recorded and mixed by Pete "Boardz" Peloquin. His credits include work with OAR, Gov't Mule, The Pixies, Ani Difranco, Dave Mathews Band, and Alice in Chains. The album garnered RoC a Boston Music Award nomination for the Best World Music catagory in 2007. "RISE UP" featured special guest horn players Sam Kininger (Soulive, Lettuce) and C-Money (Slightly Stoopid, John Browns Body) as well as Gordon Stone (Phish, Strangefolk) on pedal steel.
